Blue cloth with a white titling-label on the spine; slight glue marks to the front endpaper (from inexpert mounting of a bookplate); half-title a little offset; an excellent copy with the price-clipped dustwrapper a little rubbed, marked and chipped, with slight loss to the head of the rear hinge.
With the Fred Britton-designed bookplate of Lucy Birks, a daughter-in-law of Charles Birks of the eponymous Adelaide department store (founded in 1876, it merged with David Jones in 1954).
