Folio, xx, 150, pages with numerous monochrome illustrations and 4 colour plates plus endpaper maps.
Decorated cloth with a leather title-label on the spine; top corners very slightly bumped; spine very lightly sunned; an excellent copy in the slightly bumped slipcase.
Introduced by Alan Villiers, illustrated with watercolours and drawings by Geoffrey Ingleton, designed by Douglas Dunstan, and printed at the Griffin Press in Adelaide for the Limited Editions Club. Accompanying the book is a copy of the Club's Monthly Newsletter (December 1975, Number 494; octavo, 8 pages with a related leaflet loosely inserted); it is devoted exclusively to this publication. The edition was limited to 2000 numbered copies signed by Ingleton and Dunstan (book designer, typographer and managing director of the Griffin Press until his retirement in 1967). This copy has the initials GP in place of a number - it is in fact the copy reserved for the Griffin Press itself.
