Warmly inscribed, dated (27 July 1974) and signed by the author to Peggy Mountford, C.P. Mountford's daughter. Loosely inserted is a chatty four page handwritten letter (initialled by the author) to Peggy, in which the author discusses her and [her partner's?] publishing adventures [Margaret Philips]. An earlier small mounted studio portrait of the author is also loosely inserted; inscribed, dated (Christmas 1947) and signed on the verso by the author, who died on 16 October 1975.
